The Exemplary Husband/Excellent Wife -  Teachers: Steve Thomas & Russ Jenkins

This Class is Full

The world has a lot to say about marriage; and for the most part everything the world says about this important institution is diametrically opposed to what God has said in His Word. As Christians we are called to a higher purpose than to just please ourselves. It is in the marriage relationship that the world gets to see a visible representation of the relationship between Christ and the Church. In this class we will explore what God has said concerning marriage and how we must relate to one another as husbands and wives in order to bring Him glory. We will be using the companion books The Exemplary Husband by Stuart Scott, and The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace. The class structure will consist of meeting together part of the time and breaking out into male and female groups as well. This class is not limited to married couples only. Whether you are engaged or single but hope to be married one day this class will be beneficial to you. The marriage relationship is Satan’s number one target today. Come and be challenged to become the husband or wife God is calling you to be.

I, II & III JOHN                                                                             Teacher: Mark Maier

This is a verse by verse bible study on the letters of John which teach us about John's response to false teachers at the end of the first century. It also teaches us much about truth, God’s love, and mutual Christian love. In this Bible study, participants will be encouraged to apply God's Word to their life and see how love is demonstrated in Christian life. The study includes historical insights, word definitions, discussion questions, and weekly reading assignments in John’s letters to the church.

THE BOOK OF EXODUS                                                         Teacher: Dave Parish

The Old Testament book of Exodus is an account of the redemption of God’s chosen people. This book also shows that even when God’s chosen people were right in the middle of His will He allowed them to encounter severe problems, trials and tests of their faith. Yet, by keeping their eyes on Him, He guided them and made a way while demonstrating His mighty control over seemingly impossible situations for His own glory. This God of the Old Testament is also the God of the New Testament and even when we are facing seemingly impossible situations, we are right where He would have us and He is still in control. This study will provide you with wisdom and faith to move forward in your difficulties and will hopefully help you in your own personal Bible study to go deeper and to understand and know the Savior Who has delivered you from bondage as He did His chosen people in the Old Testament. Finally, this study will help you fit this book into the context of the history of the Bible and help you love and understand it better.
